Elderflower Gin Cocktail

Refreshing and flavorful Elderflower Gin Cocktail with tonic water and lemon, this will become your favorite summer drink.

Ingredients

  • large ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice + more wedges for the garnish Note 1
  • 6 cl gin 2 fl.oz, Note 2
  • 3 cl elderflower liqueur or syrup 1 fl. oz, Note 3
  • 7-9 cl tonic water 2.5-3 fl.oz, Note 4
  • a few mint or lemon balm leaves for garnishing optional

Instructions

  • Chill the glasses, gin, and elderflower liqueur or syrup. You can place them in the freezer for about 20 minutes before stirring the cocktail.
  • Add ice cubes to the glass.

  • Squeeze some lemon juice into the glass.
    2 tablespoons lemon juice + more wedges for the garnish
  • Pour in the gin and the elderflower drink.
    6 cl gin + 3 cl elderflower liqueur or syrup
  • Fill with tonic water and garnish with lemon wedges and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
    7-9 cl tonic water + a few mint or lemon balm leaves for garnishing

Notes

  1. Add lemon juice to taste. Start with 1-2 tablespoons and add more after you’ve poured in all the other ingredients.
  2. Gin: Use your favorite brand; I have London Dry Gin most of the time.
  3. Elderflower: You can use St Germain liqueur or elderflower syrup.
  4. Tonic water: Use a good quality, well-carbonated brand.
