Stuffed Bread Rolls
These stuffed bread rolls with cheese, ham, and sour cream are made with leftover bread rolls. They are perfect to serve with soup or as a popular party snack.

- 4-6 bread rolls depending on size, Note 1
- 1 cup cheese grated, Cheddar or Gouda; Note 2
- 3½ oz cooked ham Note 3
- 1 small red bell pepper or half a larger one
- ½ cup sour cream Note 4
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika powder Note 5
- fine sea salt and black pepper
Preheat the oven to 400°F/ 200°C. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
Halve the bread rolls and place the halves on the baking tray.4-6 bread rolls Filling mixture: Grate the cheese, chop the ham, and pepper into small cubes. Place them all in a bowl and add the sour cream. Add some sweet paprika powder, salt, and pepper. Bake for 15 minutes or until the bread is crispy and the cheese mixture is golden and melted.
- Bread: The best are day-old bread rolls. However, fresh or frozen and slightly thawed will also do. If frozen, let them defrost only enough for you to be able to split them.
- Cheese: You can use any other good-melting cheese you like.
- Ham: You can also use chopped bacon, lean bacon cubes, or pancetta cubes.
- Substitutes for sour cream: Cream cheese, creme fraiche, or smetana.
- Spices: Add some oregano or Italian herbs if you like.
