These refreshing cherry popsicles have an intense cherry flavor and are incredibly easy to make - with just three ingredients.

Still got some cherries? How about making cherry popsicles? You will only need three ingredients, and they really taste like cherries!

I mean, there is only the fruit, one lemon, and a little honey... You could hardly find a recipe for healthier pops, I guess... And don't you just love that deep red color?

And if you like these cherry pops, you will also love the Greek Yogurt Popsicles or Lemon Popsicles.

    Recipe ingredients

labeled ingredients for making cherry popsicles with honey and lemon.

Cherries: Any sweet variety works. I use heart cherries from my garden - plump, dark, and sweet, like Bing cherries.

Honey: Add to taste. Start with a little and adjust after blending, depending on the sweetness of the fruit.

Lemon: Donโ€™t skip it; it really boosts the cherry flavor.

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

    Alternative fruit

You can make these popsicles with other fruit or berries. Try mango (incredible flavor), raspberries (preferably to pass the blended mixture through a sieve to remove the little seeds), strawberries, or peach.

You can use fresh or frozen fruit or berries. Try Amaretto Cherry Ice Cream or Vanilla Cherry Ice Cream, too.

    Alternative sweeteners

Sugar, maple syrup, agave syrup, stevia, or other sweeteners like erythritol or xylitol can be used.

Always add a sweetener to taste.

    Additions

Greek yogurt, sour cream, heavy cream, or even coconut milk. They will change the taste and consistency, but the pops will be delicious as well. These additions will turn your popsicles into creamsicles.

For boozy ice pops, you could add 2-3 tablespoons of Kirsch or Amaretto.

    How to make cherry popsicles?

Pit the cherries with a cherry pitter (the affiliate Amazon link opens in a new tab).

blended cherries, honey and lemon for making popsicles in a food processor.

Step #1: Blend in the food processor until completely smooth. Add honey and lemon and adjust the taste to your liking.

Step #2: Pour the mixture into the popsicle molds (the affiliate Amazon link opens in a new tab) and place the sticks on top.

    Good to know!

These cherry popsicles are softer than regular ones; they will defrost quite fast if left outside the freezer.

They also have a slightly different consistency than the one we are used to, somewhat crumblier and softer. I love that consistency. I just mentioned it so that you know what to expect.

    Storage

Keep frozen for at least 3 months.
