Frozen potato wedges are pre-cut potato pieces that have been par-cooked and frozen. They typically contain potatoes, oil, and seasonings such as salt, pepper, and various spices to enhance the flavor. Learn how to cook Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Breast, too.
Olive oil: One teaspoon is enough, but you can increase the amount of oil if you wish (no more than one tablespoon or the pieces might be greasy).
Optional
Spices to improve the flavor; they are optional, but always a good idea! You can use paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried herbs like rosemary or thyme, and even a pinch of chili powder for some heat.
- However, before adding spices, check the ingredient list on your bag of potatoes. If they're already quite salty or spicy, use only a pinch of salt and skip hot spices like cayenne or chili flakes.

How to air fry frozen potato wedges?
This is a 3-step recipe.
- Step 1: Preheat the air fryer.
- Step 2: Toss the potatoes with oil.
- Step 3: Air fry them, shaking the basket twice during cooking.
Good to know!
Donโt overcrowd the machine; if you wish to cook more than 1 lb/ 500 g of potatoes, do it in two batches. If the air fryer is too full, it will take longer to cook and will not be as crispy as you would like them to be.
Cooking time depends on wedge thickness and your air fryer. Start with the suggested time and adjust as needed.
Store and reheat
Refrigerate them in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
Reheat in the air fryer at around 375ยฐF/190ยฐC for a few minutes until they are warmed through and crispy again.
How to serve?

Frozen Potato Wedges in the Air Fryer

- 1 lb frozen potato wedges 450-500 g
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF/200ยฐC (mine needs 3 minutes).
- Toss the frozen potato wedges with the oil. You could add more spices if desired (Note 1). 1 lb frozen potato wedges + 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Air fry: Place the wedges in the air fryer basket and cook them for 10 to 15 minutes shaking the basket twice in between. The potatoes should be crispy and golden brown.
- The cooking time depends on the size and brand of the potatoes (Note 2).
Notes
- Additional spices: For instance, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried herbs like rosemary or thyme, or a pinch of chili powder for some heat. Sprinkle the spices onto the wedges before cooking them in the air fryer.
However, before adding spices, always check the ingredient list on your bag of potatoes. If they are already very salty or very spicy, use just a pinch of salt and leave out hot spices like cayenne or red pepper/ chili flakes. - Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the wedges and the specific air fryer model.
